Later in 2003, the Agency and Defra will create new web-based libraries covering (a) the Agencys full R&D programme, and (b) the Joint Defra / Agency Flood & Coastal Defence R&D Programme.

DEFRA site - Integrated Coastal Zone management (ICZM) is a process that brings together all those involved in the development, management and use of the coast within a framework that facilitates the integration of their interests and responsibilities. The objective is to establish sustainable levels of economic and social activity in our coastal areas while protecting the coastal environment. ICZM is central to the ecosystem-based approach outlined in Safeguarding Our Seas.
